Question 705268
<pre>
You've made a mistake in copying this problem because
this statement:

A: 14 sell plantain and maize

contradicts these statements:

B: 12 of them sell plantain

C: 5 of them sell maize,

Since 14 sell both plantain and maize, as A states, then
certainly there are at least 14 that sell plantain, not
merely 12 as B states.

Also since 14 sell both plantain and maize, as A states, then
certainly there are at least 14 that sell maize, not
merely 5 as C states.

The 14 has to be incorrect.

Please correct the numbers in the thank-you note and I'll
help you. Maybe the 14 should have been 4. That's a guess
at what your error might have been.
