and then sorting them into non-random groups.<br>

Observational studies on the other hand,<br>

never directly influence the subjects.<br>

Researchers just observe what is already happening in nature, or in the field, and even in the laboratory.<br>

Experimental studies can have huge ethical implications, especially when the subjects are humans or animals.<br>
