Question 700859
The equation of a horizontal line is always:
{{{y=c}}} where c is some constant.
Notice there is no x to be found.
So in this case, our horizontal line goes through the point (4,-6).
This means that our "c" is simply -6,
as that is the y-coordinate of our given point.
The line also goes through (3,-6), (2,-6) and even (-548,-6),
and an infinite number of other points.
The equation for this particular horizontal line is:
{{{y=-6}}}
And you probably know this by now, but
the vertical line going through the same point (4,-6) is simply:
{{{x=4}}}
I hope this helps! Keep practicing! :)
