Question 700848
We need to set up some equations:
{{{T=50x+125}}}
{{{T=60x+75}}}
Where T is our total cost, and x is the number of months.
In order to find the number of months (x) where the total cost is equal,
just set the two equations equal to each other:
{{{50x+125=60x+75}}}
{{{125=10x+75}}}
{{{50=10x}}}
{{{5=x}}}
It appears that the total costs will be the same at the 5-month mark.
Prior to 5 months, Nextel will be more expensive.
After 5 months, AT&T will be more expensive.
I hope this helps! Keep practicing! :)
