Question 700751
The formula for the area of a square is {{{A=s^2}}}
So we can use this to solve for s if we know the Area:
{{{A=s^2}}}
{{{64=s^2}}}
{{{8=s}}}
So we know that length of one side (actually all 4 sides) is 8 ft.
We also knew to use the positive square root of 64,
as distance MUST be a positive number (in most cases).
I hope this helps! Keep practicing! :)
