Question 699485
Supplementary Angles: Two angles who's sum is equal to 180 degrees

Therefore, if I have angle x, and its supplement angle is 3 times that angle increased by 20 degrees, then I know the following:

Angle 1 = x
Angle 2 = {{{3x+20}}}

Both of these angles add to 180 degrees.
{{{x + (3x+20) = 180}}}
= {{{4x+20=180}}}
={{{4x=160}}}
={{{x=40}}} Angle 1 = 40 degrees

=>Angle 2
={{{(3*40)+20}}}
=140 degrees

Check:
Angle 1 + Angle 2= 180
{{{40+140 = 180}}}
