Question 696261
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

Depends.  Do you mean:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ P(x)\ =\ 100x\ -\ 5x^{\frac{2}{3}}]

or

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ P(x)\ =\ 100x\ -\ \frac{5}{3}x^2]

Use parentheses to eliminate ambiguities when you render expressions in plain text.

For further information on plain text rendering of math see: <a href="http://www.purplemath.com/modules/mathtext.htm">Formatting Math as Text</a>. Be sure to look at all four pages.
