Solve for the x-intercept.
Let y = 0
-x^2+4 = 0
x^2 = 4
x = +2 or x = -2.

distance = sqrt[(2-0)^2 + (0-4)^2] = sqrt(4+16) = sqrt(20) = 2sqrt(5) feet
