Question 692124
(3x+4)/5 + 6/5 = -5x/6
...
You could use the common denominator of 30 to remove the fractions and solve this like:
{{{30((3x+4)/5) + 30(6/5) = 30(-5x/6)}}}
6(3x+4) + 36 = -25x ==> distribute the 6
18x + 24 + 36 = -25x
60 = -25x - 18x
60= -43x
x = {{{60/-43 = highlight_green(-60/43)}}} = -1{{{17/43}}}
...
You could add the left side of the equation since they have a common denominator of 5, then cross multiply like:
{{{(3x+4)/5 + 6/5 = (3x+4+6)/5 = (3x+10)/5}}}
then
{{{(3x+10)/5 = -5x/6}}}, so
6(3x+10) = 5(-5x)
18x+60 = -25x
60 = -25x - 18x
60 = -43x
x = {{{-60/43}}}
