Question 61783
Can someone help me out with this problem: Sociology 410 has 55 more males (M SAY)than females(F SAY).
M-F =55.............1
2/3 of the males and 2/3 of the females are graduating seniors.
GRADUATING SENIORS MALES = 2M/3
GRADUATING SENIORS FEMALES =2F/3
If there are 30 more graduating senior males than graduating senior females,
(2M/3)-(2F/3)=30
(2/3)(M-F)=30
M-F = 30*3/2=45...........2..
THIS IS CONTRADICTORY AND SUPERFLUOUS.PLEASE CHECK THE PROBLEM?WHAT IS SOCIOLOGY 410?..IS IT NAME OF CLASS OR THERE ARE 410 STUDENTS..PLEASE TYPE THE QUETION PROPERLY
then how many males and females are in the class?
Thanks a bunch.
