Question 674465
this is the equation : x^2-1/2x=1/3
what i have so far is :
x^2-1/2x+1/16=19/48 and i tried to factor and i got : (x-1/4)^2=19/48
i need help trying to go on from there.

{{{(x - 1/4)^2 = 19/48}}}

{{{sqrt((x - 1/4)^2) = _+-sqrt(19/48)}}} ------ Taking the square root of both sides

{{{x - 1/4 = _+-sqrt(19/48)}}}

{{{x = 1/4 +- sqrt(19/48)}}}

You should be able to calculate the two roots now!!
