Question 674265

(6t+8t-4)/(2t)
I am not sure how to simplify this.
I've tried taking 2 out, but there is more that can be done.
I guess I should be trying to take the variable out of the denominator entirely, but I can't see how. Can someone help with explaination please?

The variable in the denominator CANNOT be taken out, entirely.

{{{(6t + 8t - 4)/2t}}}

{{{(14t - 4)/2t}}}

{{{2(7t - 2)/2t}}} ------ Factoring numerator

{{{cross(2)(7t - 2)/cross(2)t}}}

{{{highlight_green((7t - 2)/t)}}}, or {{{highlight_green(7 - 2/t)}}}
