Question 673067
How do I solve the equation 4^2X=64? The teacher gave us the answer, 3/2, but I don't know the steps to get to that answer.
-----------
{{{4^(2x) = 64}}}
{{{(2^2)^(2x) = 64}}}
{{{2^(4x) = 64 = 2^6}}}
4x = 6
x = 3/2
That's one way.
==============
{{{4^(2x) = 64 = 4^3}}}
2x = 3, etc
==============
{{{4^(2x) = 64}}}
2x*log(4) = log(64)
{{{x = log(64)/(2log(4))}}}
x = 3/2
