Question 671265
I would just like for someone to check if my answers are right..

It says, " find the equation for f^-1(x)"

f(x)= -3x  i got f^-1(x)= -x/3
That's what I get.
--------------
f(x)= x-7  i got f^-1(x)= x +7
Looks right to me.
--------------
f(x)= (-2/5)x + 10  i got f^-1(x)= -5/2x+ 25
= (-5/2)x + 25, not 5/(2x) + 25  Add parentheses.
Or -5x/2 + 25
---------------
f(x)= square root of 4x-3  i got f^-1(x)= square root of x/2 + 1.73
{{{x = sqrt(4y-3)}}}
{{{x^2 = 4y-3}}}
{{{4y = x^2 + 3}}}
{{{y = (x^2 + 3)/4}}}
------
Be careful of the rules of functions and inverses on this one.
--------------------
f(x) = x^2 + 1  i got f^-1(x)= square root of x -1
Same. sqrt(x-1) Make it clear what's under the radical.
