Question 60546
Please help me solve this problem:
find a value of the angle 0 (theta) in the interval (0degrees, 360) that satisfies this statement: tan 0(theta) =1.4739716 ?
The angle in the first quadrant that satisfies this is:
theta=tan^-1(1.4739716) Plug that in your calculator and you get:
theta=55.84549629 degrees <--Quad I answer
Tangents are also positive in quadrant III, add 180 degrees and that angle is:
theta=55.84549629+180=235.8454963 <--Quad III answer
Happy Calculating!!!
