Question 666976
Two airplanes leave Indianapolis at the same time in opposite directions. One plane travels at 270 miles per hour and the other at 250 miles per hour. When will the be 1560 miles apart? I have tried the formula d=rt, but it doesn't necessarily work.
=================
d = rt always works.
-----
Going in opposite directions, the speeds are added.
The planes are separating at 270 + 250 = 520 mi/hr
Try it again.
