Question 664417
Just in case you are yet in need of a solution...
4{{{1/6}}} is 4 wholes and 1 of 6 slices, it can be estimated as just 4 wholes
3{{{7/8}}} is 3 wholes and 7 of 8 slices, it can be estimated as 4 wholes
4/4 = 1
4{{{1/6}}}/ 3{{{7/8}}}
Convert them to improper fractions
4*6=24+1=25 so {{{25/6}}}
3*8=24+7=31 so {{{31/8}}}
Dividing fraction is the same as multiplying the inverse, so
{{{(25/6)/(31/8) = (25/6)*(8/31)}}}
Both the 6 and 8 are divisible by 2
{{{(25/3)*(4/31) = (100/91)}}}
91 goes into 100 one time evenly with 9 left over so
{{{(100/9)}}} = 1{{{9/91}}}
