Question 60137
To Whomever can assist, Thank you!
Now I'm supposed to choose either the substitution method or the elimination by addition method. Either way is cool for this one, I'll use elimination.

E1:  2x - y = 1
E2:  3x - 2y = -5
Multiply E1 by -2 and add E1+E2, the y's are elimiinated and you can salove for x:
E1:  -2(2x-y)=-2(1)---> -4x+2y=-2
:
-4x+2y=-2
3x-2y=-5
_________
-x+0=-7
-x=-7
-(-x)=-(-7)
x=7
Substitute 7 in for x and solve for y in either equation.
2(7)-y=1
14-y=1
-14+14-y=1-14
-y=-13
-(-y)=-(-13)
y=13
The solution is: (x,y)=(7,13)
Happy Calculating!!!
