The first thing I would do is move the things with negative exponents where they aren't (either numerator or denominator) and change the decimals to fractions.
{{{b^(.25)/(8b^.333*b^(.5))}}}

{{{b^(1/4)/(8b^(1/3)*b^(1/2))}}}

{{{b^(1/4)/(8b^(1/3+1/2))}}}

{{{b^(1/4)/(8b^(2/6+3/6))}}}

{{{b^(1/4)/(8b^(5/6))}}}

{{{(b^(1/4)*b^(1/6))/(8b^(5/6)*b^(1/6))}}}

{{{b^(1/4+1/6)/(8b^(5/6+1/6))}}}

{{{b^(3/12+2/12)/(8b^(6/6))}}}

{{{b^(5/12)/8b}}}

If your problem was really in decimal form to begin with:
{{{b^(-.5)/(8b^.333*b^(-.25))}}}

{{{b^(.25)/(8b^.333*b^.5)}}}

{{{b^.25/(8b^(.333+.5))}}}

{{{b^.25/(8b^(.833))}}}

{{{b^.25*b^.167/(8b^.833*b^.167)}}}

{{{b^(.25+.167)/8b^1}}}

{{{b^.417/8b}}}

I am assuming that the denominator can't have a decimal in its exponent and it can't have a negative exponent.
