Question 659379
The equation is already in standard form. If you want to convert to slope-intercept form, then...

{{{2x-y=-1}}} Start with the given equation.

{{{-y=-1-2x}}} Subtract {{{2x}}} from both sides.

{{{-y=-2x-1}}} Rearrange the terms.

{{{y=(-2x-1)/(-1)}}} Divide both sides by {{{-1}}} to isolate y.

{{{y=((-2)/(-1))x+(-1)/(-1)}}} Break up the fraction.

{{{y=2x+1}}} Reduce.

So the equation {{{y=2x+1}}} is now in slope intercept form {{{y=mx+b}}} where the slope is {{{m=2}}} and the y-intercept is {{{b=1}}} note: the y-intercept is the point *[Tex \LARGE \left(0,1\right)]
