Question 659156
please help me solve this problem, i can't understand it. One side of a triangle is four less than twice the shortest side. The third side is six more than the shortest side. Find the measure of each side if the perimeter of a triangle is 34 m
**
let x=length of shortest side
2x-4=length of 2nd side
x+6=length of 3rd side
...
x+2x-4+x+6=34
4x+2=34
4x=32
x=8
2x-4=12
x+6=14
..
length of shortest side=8 m
length of 2nd side=12 m
length of 3rd side=14 m
