Question 651569

A and B are supplementary angles. mA is 6° less than twice mB. Find mA and mB.

Since the angles are supplementary, then angle B  = 180 - A

We then have: A = 2(180 - A) - 6

A = 360 - 2A - 6

A + 2A = 354

3A = 354

Angle A = {{{354/3}}}, or {{{highlight_green(118^o)}}}

Angle B = 180 - 118, or {{{highlight_green(62^o)}}}

You can do the check!!
