Question 651307

I need help with this equation; 1/4n-2<10

i have summised that you need to multiply each factor by 4 to give n=1 which leaves n-8<40

is this correct and how do i progress from here?

regards

graeme woodward

FYI, this is an INEQUALITY!!

You did surmise correctly about multiplying by LCD, 4, but where did you get n = 1 from?

{{{(1/4)n - 2 < 10}}}

{{{n/4 - 2 < 10}}}

n - 8 < 40 ------ Multiplying by LCD, 4

{{{highlight_green(n < 48)}}}
