Question 538459

For any two points, the points which are equidistant (that is, the same distance) from both of them are the points on the perpendicular bisector of the segment between them.

If we drew a line segment with the midpoints of the baselines as endpoints, its perpendicular bisector would be the line running at right angles to it, exactly midway between the two points. On the tennis court, that's the line the net is on.

The net is the part of the court equidistant from the midpoints of the two baselines.
