Question 645125
If you want to factor, then...

{{{x^2-5xy+3x-15y}}} Start with the given expression

{{{(x^2-5xy)+(3x-15y)}}} Group the terms in two pairs

{{{x(x-5y)+3(x-5y)}}} Factor out the GCF {{{x}}} out of the first group. Factor out the GCF {{{3}}} out of the second group

{{{(x+3)(x-5y)}}} Since we have the common term {{{x-5y}}}, we can combine like terms

So {{{x^2-5xy+3x-15y}}} factors to {{{(x+3)(x-5y)}}}

In other words, {{{x^2-5xy+3x-15y=(x+3)(x-5y)}}}
