Find the point *[tex \LARGE (0,b)] on your graph.  This is the point where the graph of the function intersects the *[tex \LARGE y]-axis.  The value *[tex \LARGE b] is the value of *[tex \LARGE f(0)].


In the future, it might be helpful for you to stop thinking of ordered pairs in *[tex \LARGE \mathbb{R}^2] as *[tex \LARGE (x,y)].  Rather think of them as *[tex \LARGE \left(x,f(x)\right)]
