Question 642027
<pre>
(3x + 3)÷<font face="symbol">Ö</font><span style="text-decoration: overline">x + 1</span>

Write as a fraction:

{{{(3x+3)/sqrt(x+1)}}}

Factor 3 out of the numerator:

{{{(3(x+1))/sqrt(x+1)}}}

Multiply by {{{sqrt(x+1)/sqrt(x+1)}}}, which just equals 1:

{{{(3(x+1))/sqrt(x+1)}}}·{{{sqrt(x+1)/sqrt(x+1)}}}

Indicate the multiplication of numerators and denominators:

{{{(3(x+1)sqrt(x+1))/(sqrt(x+1)sqrt(x+1))}}}

A square root multiplied by itself is the same as squaring the
square root so it takes away the {{{sqrt("")}}}.

{{{(3(x+1)sqrt(x+1))/(x+1)}}}

Now we can cancel the (x+1)'s

{{{(3(cross(x+1))sqrt(x+1))/(cross(x+1))}}}

All that's left is:

3<font face="symbol">Ö</font><span style="text-decoration: overline">x + 1</span>
