Question 639777
The rule that would represent this function is:
{{{3^x=y}}} where x is all integer values from 0 to 4.
This is because:
{{{3^0=1}}}
{{{3^1=3}}}
{{{3^2=9}}}
{{{3^3=27}}}
{{{3^4=81}}}
There is no real way to learn these relations. It just takes practice learning to see numerical patterns.
In this case I was sure the pattern had something to do with 3 because of the nice y values including 3, 9, 27, etc.
I hope this helps! :)
