Question 633987
If the x-intercepts of a parabola are 1 and –5, what is the equation of
 the axis of symmetry?
:
The Axis of symmetry will be half way between the two x intercepts
Find the distance between the intercepts 1 - (-5) = 6, half would be 3
Subtract 3 from 1, x = -2 is the axis of symmetry
(Same as adding 3 to -5)
