Question 58262
I think you meant x+5 to be all in the exponent.
{{{3^(x+5)=9^x}}}
{{{3^(x+5)=(3^2)^x}}}
{{{3^(x+5)=3^(2x)}}} Once the bases are the same, you can equate their exponents.
x+5=2x
-x+x+5=2x-x
5=x
:
Check:
{{{3^(5+5)=9^5}}}
{{{3^(10)=9^5}}}
{{{59049=59049}}}  We're right.
Happy Calculating!!!
