Hi,
a 16-foot ladder leans against a wall at a 66 degree angle of elevation.
find the distance{{{highlight(x)}}} from the ladder's base to the wall.
*** cos(66) = adj/hyp =  x/16ft
       x/16ft = cos(66)  
      x = 16cos(66) = 6.5ft , distance from the ladder's base to the wall.
 Note: per picture,&#8736;A = 66°, h = 16  and b the distance from the ladder's base to the wall.
