Question 57866
this is my problem (0,5) m=3/5
The slope intercept form of a line is:{{{highlight(y=mx+b)}}}, where m=slope and (0,b) is the y-intercept.
Your m=3/5 and (0,b)=(0,5)
{{{y=(3/5)x+5}}} <--- this is the slope intercept form of your line.
Standard form is {{{highlight(Ax+By=C)}}}, where A, B, and C are integers, some books also want A to be positive.
So multiply your problem by the LCD to clear your fraction.
{{{5y=5(3/5)x+5(5)}}}
{{{5y=3x+25}}}
{{{-3x+5y=-3x+3x+25}}}
{{{-3x+5y=25}}}
{{{-(-3x+5y)=-(25)}}}
{{{3x-5y=25}}}
Happy Calculating!!!
