Question 57731
The question says find the domain of (-2,-1,0,2,5)
1.y=3x+2
----------
I admit, the instructions are a bit ambiguous.
But the only way you would have a worable problem
is for those given values to be the y values; then
I assume you have to solve each equation to find
the domain values. Here's what I think:
If y=-2; -2=3x+2; 3x=-4; x=-4/3 ; a domain value
If y=-1; -1=3x+2; 3x=-3; x=-1   ; a domain value
If y=0 ; 0=3x+2 ; 3x=-2; x=-2/3 ; a domain value
If y=2 ; 2=3x+2 ; 3x=0 ; x= 0   ; a domain value
If y=5 ; 5=3x+2 ; 3x=3 ; x=1    ; a domain value
So the domain {4/3,-1,-2/3,0,1}
