Question 625204
If you don't like decimals, then move the decimals the same number of places for each number until the decimal "disappears". Remember to move the decimal back the same number of places when you are done.

Ex:

7.2 ----> 72.0 = 72 (move the decimal 1 spot to the right)

1.3 ----> 13.0 = 13 (move the decimal 1 spot to the right)

So adding 7.2 to 1.3 is the same as adding 72 to 13

So 72+13 = 85

Now move the decimal point one spot to the left to go from 85 = 85.0 to 8.5

Therefore,

7.2 + 1.3 = 8.5

So this all means that

7.2x^2 + 1.3x^2 = 8.5x^2

I'll let you tackle the rest. Let me know if you need any more help.
