Question 624776

You are way out in left field this time, Bub.

Use the property:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ a^m\,\cdot\,a^n\ =\ a^{m+n}]

The -24 coefficient is correct, but a minus sign on a coefficent has NO effect on the sign of an exponent.

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 2\ +\ -2\ =\ 0]

and remember, anything to the zero power is 1 (NOT 1x, just 1. If you are confused by this idea, write back and I'll give you a "makes good sense" explanation). Then

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 2\ +\ 3\ =\ 5]

John
*[tex \LARGE e^{i\pi}\ +\ 1\ =\ 0]
My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
