Question 622538
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

If the first test is worth 80% of your grade, and the homework is worth 10%, then the final test must also be worth 10%, because you can't have more or less than 100% of a grade.

The best you can do is 100% on the final so:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ (48\ \times\ 0.8)\ +\ (100\ \times\ 0.10)\ +\ (100\ \times\ 0.10)\ =\ 0.504]

If a passing score for the course is anything that is larger than 50.4%, then put a fork in yourself -- you're done. Drop out of the class now before you waste any more of anyone's time. Try again next semester.
