Question 622525
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

Not sure whether you mean

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ e^x\ -\ 1\ =\ 2x\ +\ 1]

or

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ e^{x\,-\,1}\ =\ 2x\ +\ 1]

Not that it matters much. Neither equation can be solved algebraically. The best you can do is to use numerical analysis methods to come up with approximations for the two roots of either one.

*[tex \LARGE e^{i\pi}\ +\ 1\ =\ 0]
My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
