Take the cube root of the result.


Round appropriately.  You might want to ask your instructor why, since the Volume was given to the nearest cubic foot, you were asked to round to the nearest hundredth of a foot.  Totally inappropriate.  The result of a calculation involving measurements should never be expressed more precisely than the least precise given measurement.  If the instructor wanted the answer to the nearest 1/100 foot, s/he should have expressed the Volume as 20.00 ft^3.
