when graphing an inequality you must first draw a number line, the inequality x>1 circle 1 on your numberline and draw the arrow to the right, as the arrow shows that x must be greater than 1 in the scale. 
If you are drawing an xy or an xyz graph draw a vertical line up from 1 and draw horozontal arrows about the line to indicate all values behind that line could be X.
