Question 57335
Hi dnn, you're right, something went wrong.
Solve system of linear equation express in ordered pair (x,y)if possible
Add the two equations together and you eliminate the y's. Solve for x:
x - y =4
2x + y =5
_________
3x+0=9
3x=9
3x/3=9/3
x=3
Substitute x=3 into one of the original equations and solve for y
(3)-y=4
-3+3-y=4-3
-y=1
-(-y)=-(1)
y=-1
The solution is: (x,y)=(3,-1)
Happy Calculating, dnn!!!
