Question 620705
Hi, there--
.
If I understand you correctly, you are asking for five odd numbers whose sum is 50.
.
This is not possible. Here is why:
.
The sum of any two ODD numbers is always EVEN.
The sum of any two EVEN numbers is always EVEN.
It follows that the sum of any four ODD numbers is always EVEN.
The sum of an EVEN number and an ODD number is always an ODD number.
.
Thus the sum of five ODD numbers is always ODD. Since 50 is EVEN, is cannot be the sum of five odd numbers.
.
Hope this helps!
