Question 57321
25 meters in diameter. I need to find the circumference
The formula for the circumference of a circle is: {{{highlight(C=d*pi)}}}, where C=circumference, d=diameter, and {{{pi}}}=3.14 (this is an approximation, pi is actually a never ending decimal, my calculator takes it out to 3.141592654. However, if you are just starting out, 3.14 is all that your teacher expects.)
Your d=25m, therefore your circumference is:
{{{C=25m*pi}}}
{{{C=25m*3.14}}}
{{{highlight(C=78.5m)}}}
Happy Calculating!!!
