Hi,
how do you convert standard form to vertex form in the equation:
y = x^2 +13x+12      ||Completing the square
y = (x + 13/2)^2 - 169/4 + 12
y = (x + 13/2)^2  - 121/4    V((-13/2), (-121/4))
the vertex form of a parabola opening up or down: {{{y=a(x-h)^2 +k}}} where(h,k) is the vertex.
The standard form is {{{(x -h)^2 = 4p(y -k)}}}, where  the focus is (h,k + p)
