mean:  Add all of the numbers and divide by the number of numbers.


median:  Put the numbers in numerical order, pick the one in the exact middle.  If you have an even number of data elements, pick the two closest to the middle and take the mean of those two.


mode: Report the data element that occurs most frequently.


range:  Bottom end is the lowest number, top end is the highest number.


midrange:  Take the mean of the two numbers that comprise the endpoints of the range.
