Hi,
divide 44,200 between ram{{{highlight(x)}}} and john{{{highlight(44200-x)}}}
so that ram's share at the end of 6years may be equal to john's share at the end of 4 years
rate of interest being 10 per cent compounded yearly
 x(1.10)^6 = (44200-x)(1.10)^4
 (1.10)^2x = (44200-x)
  1.21x = 44200-x
  2.21x = 44200
      x = $20,000, Ram's principal.  John's is $24,200,
