Yep, that is <i>exactly</i> what you need to do.  Now, recognize that 81 is 9 times 9 and 9 is 3 times 3, so 81 has to be 3 to the 4th.


But the 3 is in the denominator of the fraction 1/3.  Now what?  How about a negative exponent?
