Question 617467
When any graph is reflected in the x axis, all the y coordinates change signs. Points with positive y coordinates become points with negative y coordinates. (the x coordinates stay the same.) And the points that had negative y coordinates become points with positive y coordinates. This has the effect of moving all the points above the x axis to below the x axis and vice versa.<br.
The equation for the reflected graph will have the y's replaced by -y's. So
the equation for the reflection of
{{{y = x^2-10}}}
will be:
{{{-y = x^2-10}}}
or, solving for y:
{{{y = -x^2+10}}}
