Question 56506
Hi Sher,
  I need to find the slope and y-intercept of the line represented by the following equation:

  2x - 3y = 6

Put the equation into slope intercept form:{{{highlight(y=mx+b)}}}, where m=slope and (0,b)=y-intercept:
{{{2x-3y=6}}}
{{{-2x+2x-3y=-2x+6}}}
{{{-3y=-2x+6}}}
{{{(-3/-3)y=(-2/-3)x+(6/-3)}}}
{{{y=(2/3)x-2}}}
{{{y=highlight(2/3)x-2}}}  The slope is 2/3
{{{y=(2/3)x+highlight(-2)}}}  The y-intercept is (0,-2)
Happy Calculating, Sher!!!!
