Question 604030
<font face="Times New Roman" size="+2">

Pick a value for *[tex \LARGE x]. It can be anything you like, but small integers, and zero would work nicely here, make the arithmetic easier. Calculate the value of *[tex \LARGE y] that results from your choice of *[tex \LARGE x].

Repeat the process with a value of *[tex \LARGE x] that is 1 larger than the value you chose the first time. Compare the *[tex \LARGE y] that results the second time to the result you obtained the first time.

The coefficient on *[tex \LARGE x] is a BIG clue as to what is going to happen.

John
*[tex \LARGE e^{i\pi} + 1 = 0]
My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
