Question 55878
I Think You Probably meant y-2 and 2-y are denominators. If I'm wrong, let me know.
{{{(6/(y-2))+(3y/(2-y))}}}
{{{6/(y-2)+(-1)(3y)/(-1(2-y))}}}
{{{6/(y-2)-3y/(-2+y)}}}
{{{6/(y-2)-3y/(y-2)}}}
{{{(6-3y)/(y-2)}}}
{{{-3(-2+y)/(y-2)}}}
{{{-3(y-2)/(y-2)}}}
{{{-3*cross((y-2))/cross((y-2))}}}
{{{highlight(-3)}}}
Eventually you'll want to realize that if polynomials are the same but with opposite signs, they are the negative of each other. That will eliminate half of the steps that I showed you.
Happy Calculating!!!
